New Hope Christian School A+ Participation Agreement
Dear Students and Parent/Guardian:
Listed below are the conditions for eligibility for financial incentives in accordance with guidelines of the A+ Scholarship Program established by § 160.545, RSMo. and the MO Dept. of Higher Education and Workforce Development.
Any student who meets or exceeds the criteria listed below can become eligible for reimbursement from the State of Missouri for tuition to any Missouri public community college, vocational, or technical school. Funding for the A+ Scholarship program is the sole responsibility of the State of Missouri.
The following criteria must be met for student eligibility in the A+ Scholarship program:
Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen.
Attend an A+ designated school for at least two years prior to graduation.
Sign the Student A+ Participation Agreement with New Hope Christian School.
Attain an attendance rate of at least 95% by graduation.
Earn at least a 2.5 cumulative, unweighted grade point average by graduation. (4-year colleges/universities may have higher minimum GPA requirement.)
Complete at least 50 hours of A+ approved unpaid tutoring and/or mentoring, of which up to 25% may include job shadowing (must be pre-approved).
Maintain a record of good citizenship.
Score Proficient or Advanced on the Algebra I end-of-course exam (or ACT math equivalent).
Apply for federal financial assistance (Free Application for Federal Student Aid - FAFSA).
Further, to maintain eligibility after high school graduation, the following criteria must be met to qualify for financial incentives from the State of Missouri:
Attend a Missouri public community college, vocational, or technical post-secondary institution on a full-time basis.
Maintain the minimum GPA as set forth by the post-secondary institution.
Claim this financial incentive within four years after high school graduation.
